They were all dropper bottles, some with a cloud, one with the bottle standing in for the space between JUICE and SAUCE. That one was always my favorite. The domain sat there. Now it's this: a notebook for hardware, security, the homelab and whatever I'm building with language models. The bottle came along. ## Line drawing to silhouette The original was a line drawing: pipette inside, cloud where the liquid was. It looked great at poster size and turned to mud at 18 pixels, which is the size it actually lives at in a browser tab. So it became a single solid shape: bulb, cap, neck, shouldered body. The cloud is gone; in its place is a block cursor knocked out of the bottom. What's in the bottle now is a command line. ```html ``` Three primitives and an even-odd fill. It inherits `currentColor`, so the same markup works in any colour; here it's the favicon. ## Credit The dropper-bottle concept is a former co-worker's. This is a redraw of the idea for a different job, and it's only here because the original was good enough to keep. ---------------------------------------------------------------- https://juicesauce.com · guestbook: https://juicesauce.com/guestbook · rss: /rss.xml build 760491a · no cookies, no tracking, no javascript
